Dr. Juliet LaMonaca is a licensed psychologist in Oregon and Montana. She received her master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from The School of Professional Psychology at Pacific University. She completed her internship at the University of Idaho Counseling & Testing Center. During internship, she completed rotations in psychiatry and substance abuse and facilitated SMART Recovery groups. She also developed skills in providing outreach, crisis assessment, supervision, and biofeedback. Her thesis and dissertation examined issues of confidentiality in working with adolescents and college students. She completed her residency at HealthWorks NW, an innovative group practice where she specialized in working with healthcare professionals and co-occurring disorders.
After residency, she worked as a Senior Clinician at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation before joining Pacific Premier Group, PC in 2014. She has worked in private practice for the past 9 years. Dr. LaMonaca utilizes a strength-based approach that integrates cognitive-behavioral, existential, humanistic, and motivational interviewing techniques. She takes a collaborative stance, individualizing therapy based on client needs. She specializes in the treatment of mood disorders, substance use disorders, anxiety, trauma, and co-occurring mental health issues.
