Dr. Vanderlip is a Board Certified Psychiatrist and Family Physician licensed to practice a full range of medicine in multiple states. Dr. Vanderlip received his undergraduate degree from Rice University and MD from the University of Oklahoma, his home state. He completed an advanced combined residency in Family Medicine and Psychiatry at the University of Iowa and fellowship training in the delivery of integrated behavioral health services and a Masters of Public Health at the University of Washington.
Dr. Vanderlip relocated back to his home in Oklahoma serving an Endowed Chair role in Psychiatry and Medical Informatics at the University of Oklahoma until 2016. He joined the pioneering on-demand healthcare startup ZoomCare, orchestrating it’s mental health service offering and eventually serving as ZoomCare’s Chief Medical Officer through 2021.
He is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (APA), serving on the Board of the APA from 2012 to 2014 and has a current appointment on the Clinical Quality Committee. He has lectured and published widely on the integration of physical and mental health care. His primary passion is assisting individuals with optimizing their health and wellness and empowering their inner ability to maintain their optimal level of functioning.
