Dr. Reuther is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She has an undergraduate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of the Philippines and Medical Degree from the University of the East. After moving to the U.S, Dr. Reuther completed residency then taught at University of Texas – Houston.
She pursued further training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and a fellowship in Mood Disorders. Dr. Reuther also completed the Executive Leadership Program in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Reuther has worked with a diverse population including geriatric, veterans, transgender, and young adults.
She has extensive experience in helping adults in life transitions, professionals in crisis, and individuals with new onset illness. Dr. Reuther firmly believes in patient centered, collaborative care. She employs an integrative approach to treatment by carefully combining pharmacology, various forms of psychotherapies, complementary and alternative medicine to manage complex and treatment resistant conditions.
Her special interest in Women’s Mental Health inspired her to develop Perinatal Psychiatry Services in Portland and in the Philippines. Dr. Reuther is a volunteer consultant for Post-Partum Support International.
